Description: Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) results look deceptively simple to understand. However, they are actually more complex, and the vast majority of educators (many of them applying their analyses to student-related decisions) are drawing flawed conclusions. This session will cover correct ways to analyze STAR scores, help you avoid common misconceptions about the tests and scores, and use tricks and resources to more quickly draw accurate conclusions. While the California Modified Assessment (CMA) and California Alternate Performance Assessment (CAPA) will be touched upon, the session will focus primarily on the California Standards Test (CST).
